I’ve been taking pictures of Chicago since I moved to this gorgeous city, last August. Despite of a long winter (believe me, even a Chicagoan would agree with me), I haven’t found myself bored yet. There is so much to do and to discover.

Cultural events and artistic manifestations happen everywhere. Just walking down the charming streets of my neighborhood is a special entertainment by itself. I can’t have enough of Chicago’s architecture, buildings, parks, people, museums, you name it.

Here are my favorite images of Chicago. By the way, I am so ready for summer season! Bet you would too …

I am passionate about learning anything related to people – emotions, relationships, feelings, concerns, thoughts, interactions, behaviors, you name it. Other day I learned about the “6 billion Others,” a four-year project launched in 2003 by Yann Arthus-Bertrand (an internationally-recognized French photographer) to create a sensitive and human portrait of the planet’s inhabitants.

Over the last four years, six directors around the world interviewed people like you and me, asking the same questions about family concerns, experiences, what make us laugh, cry and what gives life meaning and the like. They want to figure out if we all are chasing the same happiness and facing the same problems.

The 6,000 interviews conducted in 65 countries will be presented to the public at a giant exhibition in Paris, in 2008. However, you can take a look at some of them already available on the “6 billion Others” website. All you need to do is to click on a portrait to see its testimony.

I’ve watched some of the interviews which deeply touched me. They made me to rethink some of my concerns, concepts, values, and see life from a different perspective. Hope you enjoy meeting some of those people as I did. Have fun! 🙂
